My Hometown is Baltimore, Maryland “Charm City”

I obtained my BSW from the illustrious Historically Black College & University “HBCU” Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD.

My favorite hobby is getting out into communities exploring & learning of issues that could be changed through networking with other communities and organizations.

My hidden talent is singing and an interesting fact is EVERY MORNING I take the time to do bible study and send a “spiritual vitamin” to others.

The running joke over the past three years has been I did not choose Social Work, it chose me. I originally began my collegiate journey studying Criminal Justice and Political Science to attend Law School. I then switched for Nursing, all the while my closest friends and family kept encouraging me to switch to Social Work.

What I Love the most about THE BEAR PROJECT is that it was created by two individuals who are Change Agents here in Waco, Texas.
Professor Arroyo and Dr. Singletary observed a gap within a system, they prayed & God provided them with a vision, they aimed for what others deemed impossible and not once did they give up!
For this I am Social Work proud, Baylor proud, & BLESSED to be a part of such an amazing program.
What I enjoy about being on WISD Carver Middle School Campus is that I know that the children are ready for change and they embrace my presence.
